I've used "Nevr-Dull Wadding Polish" for a while now, but I really got a chance to test it out. In the past, I've kept my exhaust shined up so when using it it was far from drastic. But since I've neglected my car over the last oh, say, I don't know how many months, I got to really see it in action.Check out the before/after! I don't need no stinkin' chrome exhaust tip, I've got the stock one shined up just as good.

LOL! It would be a hell of a show to watch those guys yank the exhaust off and take off with it.

Thanks for the tip CP. I got some of this Nevr-Dull stuff and it works great. I got it at Canadian Tire and was ready to pay around $8 for a can of it but to my surprise it rang up half price. Sweet.My car is new so it wasn't that dirty but this will be good to keep it shined up. I'm impressed with the exhaust so far and I like the big shiny tip For guys like me that can't afford an aftermarket exchaust, it's nice. I like how it's quiet enough on the highway at low RPM's but when you rev the RPM's you get a bit of a throaty sound.

ooooooooooo... shiny!heck, now I gotta go look at my exhaust tip... never really examined it up close.

That's a little trick I learned from Dad years back. As long as you've got a stainless exhaust, if you put enough effort into it, it can look pretty sharp without any additional hardware. I take the Nevr-Dull to mine each time I wax the car... In between waxing, I occasionally use detail spray on the car... When I'm done with the body, I'll spray the detail spray on the exhaust and wipe it down quite a bit. Helps maintain the shine a bit longer, it would seem.I've got the GM tip on my exhaust at the moment, I need to do something with it, it needs to be shined up a little.

Has anybody tried this trick by using some cola (Coke or Pepsi ) and a piece of aluminium foil to clean/polish their tip?

Wow! that looks great. I've got to try it. Though the tarnished brown look is probably cool in the grunge scene...

what happened to the tip you won at the Ohio meet?

I am going to try the magic eraser to see if similar results can be had.

4x4, the pics above were taken in the pre-tip installation era. The tip is still on there now but I have to admit it is in severe need of some polishing... I wonder if some of the Nevr-dull that worked so well on the exhaust pipe itself would work for polishing the tip? Thought about trying it but I don't want to damage the tip...And poopy, huh huh huh... Clean pipes... heh!

Man, I'm quite impressed, everyone has shown such great restraint... It has taken 101 days from the original post to the point where someone brings up the subject of cleaning pipes or, um, polishing things... (removed)

I've been so good for so long....I just had to let a few go.

I had never heard of that trick until I watched an episode of "Myth Busters" a couple weeks ago and they tested many myths on the uses of colas. Surprisingly, actually using a piece of foil and some cola really made the chrome shine on the rust bucket truck they were shining. They had better results with the cola compared to a store bought chrome polish they also used.

Ha ha! Cleanin' pipes is what I do best, I suppose. A tip to those who have the GM exhaust tip: Mine got dull and yeller lookin' over time and good grief, the amount of black soot all over that thing! I took some detail spray to wet down the tip and then gave it a good polishing with Nevr-Dull, then just wiped off with a clean cloth. It brought the shine back to that puppy, looks great again. It didn't appear to scatch it or anything, so that's always a bonus. Once I get the car back, I'll probably polish it again and throw on a good coat of wax as well now that winter is here...

Well, ya know there's nothing like waxing your tip during these long, boring winter months when you're trapped indoors! This is a good habit, as it will preserve the look of your tip for the spring and summer months when you'll want to show off your tip for the chicks. Ok, I'm done too.

yeah my friend told me bout never dull back in 99 and i've been usin it religiously ever since. this is my fav eagle one product, it's great. it also works great at removing metal scuffs on your paint. i'm not sure if it strips the wax tho, so after so long, i just remove all the scratches and wax the whole car. i haven't done it on the vibe though, just on other cars
