This should be a no-brainer...But I purchased the all-weather rubber floor mats for my 2005 Vibe from Pontiac. I'm not sure if these are supposed to go on top of the stock carpeted floor mats or if they are supposed to replace them.I don't think those plastic hooks on the drivers floor will pass though 2 mats.Charles

replace the carpet mats.how much did you pay for yours? the last set of carpet floor mats i had in a car only lasted about a year before i'd worn a hole through them under the gas pedal.

Wore a hole in them?!? I was debating about ordering those from my dealer... should I rethink that?

Front Mats: Part number 12498520 $46.00 pair.Rear Mats: Part number 12498111 $41.00 pair. For my car, I removed the stock carpet mats when I installed the rubber mats. They seemed to fit better that way.In the rear, I kept the carpet mats there under the rubber mats. Didn't seem to interfere with anything.

the carpet mats? yeah. i've actually noticed holes under the pedals in quite a few cars with carpeted floor mats. better the mats than your floor though.
