i'm looking to buy a cai does the aem pass emissions? and how would you rate it.. i've been told that 03 injen cai will not work. by the way i have a 04 vibe monotone sport package moon and tunesthe aem i found is for a matrix xr so i'm guessing it should fit like a glove?

Are you talking a short ram CAI? Whatever the case it should fit. My AEM is a short ram and on the box it said it was for a 2003 Corolla!

AEM does not make intakes specifically for the Vibe (Matrix CAI, Corolla SR). So, if the question is "are they C.A.R.B. exempt?", the answer would be "not for the Vibe".

so will the injen work i was told it would only fit 03 model?

i have aem cold air and it is carb exempt, it says it is, i got it smogged and they looked for the carb sticker, and asked me for the paper. so it does count, or the smog place didnt care, but they did care about the breather valves i had on the intake, they said they were illegal...how stupid, it is like 2 dinky little filters

yeesh what do you guys go through when you get inspections? lol any time I get an inspection all they do is see if the windshield is cracked and see if my lights/signals work.
