I've never modded an engine that extensively. I would assume it would void any mfr's warrany...right?

Oh yeah, it will void the warranty all right. You may want to wait until your warranty is over. If you are not concerned with the warranty then mod away!

Depending on the modifications you make. Sometimes it will only void those components directly affected, but not unrelated parts. If you do engine mods, and you power windows dont work they would still be covered providing your still in your warranty period. It also depends on your dealer, some dealers are proactive in performance modification and some dealers dont want to know a thing. One approach keep all your original factory parts and if you do blow it up, put it back together like the factory had it before you take it to the dealership...

Yes, it would affect the engine and powertrain warranty only. Thanks, nitrovibegt.

I did not buy an extended warrannty, I only had the 3 yr 36,000 mile one. ... I am at 39k miles now..I dont have one anymore. Since I put on the turbo at 4k miles, I can honestly say, that I did not care about the warranty. I still dont. If I had waited for the warranty to end, then I would not have enjoyed my turboed car as much for the last 2 years or so. Why wait, turbo yor car ...if you want.If you wait for your warranty to end , and you turbo your motor, and you blow up your motor , You will have to buy a new motor!!!Why wait to blow it up??? Blow it up now, eitherway, you have to buy a new one that is not under warrany. What I am saying, is that the risk is no better when the warranty runs out. And, who knows, you just may not blow your motor
