Has anyone tried one of these . I bought one and maybe I'm not using it right, but it doesnt seem to work too well for me. Seems like it has put some fine scratches on the paint in places, even though it says it will not scratch the paint. I'm afraid to keep using it to get the hang of it. Any opinions?

The blade itself won't put scratches in your paint, but if you happen to get any contaminants on the blade, you'll be dragging them across your paint - which WILL scratch.(I prefer the Absorber to the blades - but the same danger exists)

I have one. It works pretty good. Not as good as an old fashioned towel, but if you are like me and forget your towel everytime you go to the carwash it is a perfect thing to have.

Nothing wrong with the blade itself, you just need to be sure you haven't left ANYTHING on the paint that the blade can drag across it. You get scratches if you do. I had that happen a couple times on my previous car and then gave the blade away.

I agree with the others about things remaining on the paint. I have a CA water blade and I really like it. I use it along with the Absorber. I go over the car with the water blade first to remove most of the water then use the Absorber to get the rest. The water blade can leave funny marks on the car if you allow the plastic handle part to drag across the paint too. Those marks usually come off really easy with wax or polishing compound.
