Figured I'd throw this out for you guys... Not really sure where to put it, so may the powers that be move it if necessary. I figure we could discuss all the little projects we're planning on getting into at Ohio... I'll start! Taking Kari's tail lights out and getting all those stupid pine needles out from under them. I'm actually *gasp* swapping to a 2005 model arm rest, and willfully at that! Anybody going to the meet who may have experience with fixing the stupid window popping? If so, I'll be really grateful if someone could help me out with that. How 'bout youse guys?

Well, I was going to suggest installing my VSS security system, but since GM made the decisions on this car, the wiring is not there to just plug & play. So....the only other thing I'm interested in is maybe getting a permanent XM antenna installed. Any ideas? I want to keep the magnetic one so when I rent a car, ect, I'll still have it. Plus, I guess I'd like to do the automatic light override mode.

If possible I may be getting some LEDs to install around the Vibe. (inside of course)

Seems as though I'm part of the swapping of the armrests. I don't think I'll have any projects to work on, but I might have to come up with something.

We'll do the switcharoo for the armrests, so that's enough. It's too early to tear into that new '05 of yours... Or, is it? If not, hey - you can help me tear apart something on my car. lol!

Anyone planning on installing new component speakers in their rear doors any time soon?I'm looking for someone interested in swapping rear door panels. The reason why:I'm about to trade in, and I have cut holes in the rear door panels for my a/m tweeters. The audio is alll coming out pre-trade, so the easiest way to replace the rear door panels (and most inexpensive way too) is to give them to someone who may be able to reuse them for the same purpose.Must have dark interior.

If you give me the speakers, heck yeah those door panels are yours buddy! Can't hook nothing up with the stock stuff, but it's cool... lol

If you're interested in buying the system, we can talk.I shall warn you though, I cannot help you install it. I needed Jahntassa to get this crap in originally.

Nah, I've got something more dear to me than Sir Knocksalot to spend my pennies on.

We did test the remotes in the parking lot at the hotel with about 10 Vibes present, and no one's unlocked anything but their car. We didn't try the keys directly though.

I have 1 or 2 things that I will need help with. Anyone that's going to go to the meet that is interested in helping me do a gauge pillar mod? I need someone that will be able to help me do the wiring of three gauges. If anyone has did this mod, can you let me know what kind of tools I will be needing? I'll also be changing the cabin filter if there is time. Any help with the pod will be appreciated!

Actually I unlocked another vehicle in a parking lot once with my remote. It was another Vibe, parked next to me when I came out of the store. I hit my remote and all 8 lights flashed instead of just my 4. So I sat and waited in my car until theirs locked itself back....that was freaky.

CP, when removing the Tail Lamp nuts, hang onto them! I removed mine once and dropped a nut in the body! Thought is was gone forever and could not see it. I took a gamble and stuck my magnetic pick up tool down in the blind dark body hole and actually got it! Oh yeah, before the nuts come off on two of them, the factory slid on a wire holder that locks to the stud threads. I had to "make a tool" (piece of ice cube maker hose) to slide it over the threads, into the wire holder and release the locking tabs. You could break them off but I doubt Kari would like that!

Thank ya much for the heads up! So this means I'm not going to tear into Kari's car until I take my tail lights out a couple of times to get some practice. Marcie's too good of a car to be used as a guinea pig. Mine, I could care less if I break something, as right now I'm at the point where if I ever break anything, I'll just duct tape the crap back into place if it gets broken. (removed)!

In that case, I may just leave the pine needles back there and pick them out as they work themselves to the bottom...LOL. Sounds like a complicated job!

Anyone going to be there that is good at installing alarm systems?!? I bought an alarm system off of silverawd26... says it will work right along with the factory key-fob.Going to swap out rear door handles too... or at least "attempt" to do so.

Quick question for the gang: Anyone plan on bringing a drill sufficient for drilling out these rivets in the doors for the speakers? If so, can I borrow it, please? I still haven't completely restored Sir Knocksalot from the great moon & tunes meltdown of 2005... I just have one speaker that needs to be replaced, but my puny little screwdriver/drill thing doesn't have the oomph to tackle this.

I'll bring mine. Might as well bring all my tools, they are in the car right now anyway
