My other vehicle is a 2002 Caviler 4 Door stock as can be....There is only 28K miles on it but the car is about 4 years old...There is still plenty of tread on these tires and they seem to perform fine.I can not find the date code anywhere on the tire yet. Do I need new tires??

good rule of thumb take a penny and stick lincoins head in and if the tread doesn't come up to his head u need new tires. date doesn't really judge new tires or not. mileage is the factor. i worked in a tire shop just to let u know

Unless you see dry rot on the tires, drive it and use them up!

LOLwhich is not a safe thing to do... anyway... how do the tires look? weather cracked but with lots of tread? or just in good overall shape? Should the tread be above the wear indicators and there is no signs of weather cracking, use them up I say.

sounds like your tires are still fine. just worry about the tread and making sure you don't have rotted tires. other than that, you should be good to go!
