What has this world come to?Police: Woman's Suicide Attempt Leaves 3 DeadThree Men Die In Skokie CrashPOSTED: 4:40 pm CDT July 15, 2005UPDATED: 6:10 pm CDT July 15, 2005CHICAGO -- Bond was denied Friday for a 23-year-old woman accused of intentionally ramming her car into another vehicle at a Skokie intersection in a suicide attempt, killing three men from Chicago and injuring three others.Jeanette Sliwinski was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery in connection with the Thursday afternoon crash at Niles Center Road and Dempster Street, according to a news release from Skokie police.Sliwinski, of 8915 S. Parkside St. in Morton Grove, was denied bond when a hearing was held in the Skokie Courthouse in her absence, while she remains hospitalized from the crash, Cook County state's attorney's office spokesman Tom Stanton said.Stanton did not know which judge presided over the hearing.Sliwinski was accused of intentionally ramming her 2000 red Ford Mustang into a 2001 Honda Civic, which was stopped at a red light, because she was distraught and trying to kill herself, Stanton said. He said her car was travelling more than 70 mph before the impact.Three men in the Civic were killed. They were identified as Michael Dahlquist, 39, John Glick, 35, and Douglas Meis, 29, all of Chicago, according to release.Stanton said Sliwinski was not seriously injured.City News Service contributed to this story.

This is kinda like that one woman who drove her car into the lake to commit suicide but jumped out at the last minute, letting her kids who were still in the car drown. She was charged with premeditated murder as you can't suicide kill someone other then yourself and she had admitted to planning this for a while.

does the state of illinois have the death penalty? if so, then maybe she just found her means of assisted suicide.... if not, it's too bad.

i dunno. why waste all the tax payers money to keep her alive??? what a coward to do what she did! really! hell, when i was suicidal, atleast i had the decency to only want to take MY life and NOT someone else's or even put anyone else in danger! obviously, glad i never did attempt it, but still. suicide is so selfish; they never think of how it will affect other people's lives.

Sounds like she wanted to die, but didn't or couldn't do it herself. Like when people intentionally get in shootouts with police in hopes of being killed. I believe they call it police assisted suicide. Too bad those men had to die because that stupid ***** didn't have the guts to do it herself. She had to be insane cause anybody with any rational thought in them would at lease pick a bigger can that a freaking Civic to run into. Try a Semi on the interstate, that should do it and it probably won't severely injure the drive of the truck.I say give her a life sentence in prison then put her on suicide watch for the rest of her life and MAKE her live. She thought her life was bad before. HA!
