There is a handicap ramp on the sidewalk. Need to find out how many feet must the clearance be if the owner wants to put a driveway near it.The web is my source.Where do I start? What do I need to look this up?

I'd go to city hall or call and ask somebody...my only suggestion for the web would be to look up the Americans with Disabilities Act -- that will be what those regulations would fall under, I would think.

I'd try here first.http://az.gov/webapp/portal/ It depends on the county really, I'm on the board of appeals in a small town and what you can do from county to county here in indiana varys alot.hope it helps.the problem with the web searches is they don't turn up that many gov. or org sites.

usually the rule of thumb is 36 inches of width, but that may be different for sidewalks...
