no, taking it easy on the new car. mine is set up for beatings, his is not. so 13.71 completely stock and taking it pretty easy is still quick. my best runs stock was 15.03 sec.

yeah I figured that haha... I know he'll cave at some point just to be the fastest You must not have been on your game yet b/c he almost beat you that first time.

nah, i just hit the rev limiter in 2nd again, then said heck with it and slapped it into 4th and just cruised to the end. i was already braking before the end of the line... it didn't matter at that point. i think that was my slowest time for the night too. *shrug* everyone thought i was letting off the gas to be nice since it was Phil's first run in the STI. i thought he did a heck of a job considering we weren't pushing the car. i ran the STI for 2 runs... 14.94 first run and 14.42 second run. definitely different! but if given a few more runs and willing to "push" the car, I probably woulda ended up in mid 13's and that's without completely beating it to hell. car is fully capable of low low 13's in its stock form.

Well Hope didn't post the time slip of my 13.71 @ 99MPH against her 13.5I had a good launch but took to much time enjoying it I forgot to shift to second and hit the rev limiter. A turbo engine on the rev limiter cuts back a lot more then an N/A engine. sure is going to take some practice. I have someone bugging me to let him drive the STi, he claims (which I believe) he can get a 12.9 or less out of my stock STi. But he's a hell of a driver compared to me.

I forgot to post my times up here! The slips are in the garage but I know one of my runs had 1/4 ET of 17.8!!! WOOHOO! That was my first time on the strip, with an automatic and a 300lbs stereo in the back. When I can drive again I will be leaving the system home and hopefully learning how to drive the automatic efficiently. I had better reaction times than all cars I raced but got all horrible ugly disgusting times lol.

LOL. what were you expecting? 17's should be right on for an 04 base auto vibe.

'03 thanks very much I have a tiny bit more than the '04s. I was expecting mid 16's to be honest.

The Vibe wheel hops like a mo fo on the launch making it very difficult to get a good one... maybe your auto will be different.

But regardless, anything in the 12's is frickin fast. Congrats

21 psi and a big kick in your (removed) when it hits lol

yep, 21 psi, limited by my stock injectors. perhaps this winter i will upgrade just a few basics like the injectors and fuel pump. if i find a good deal on a larger TMIC, i may do that too. i don't want to spend tons more on the car at the moment. i feel that my LGT is pretty darn quick as it is right now, and fully capable of a little lower times, like 12.7's. not too shabby for an automatic.

new car and new times.I am completely stock 08 STI. I have a CAI and tuned for Torco Race gas. The car can run a 12, but I'm not quite able to drive her there. I should be about 1- 2 mph faster and my ET's should be 12.8-12.9's. I'm quite confident, without adding any additional hardware and just tweaking my driving skillz, I should dip into 12's. It took me over $8K+ to do the same thing in the LGT (actually I'm sure it's closer to $9-10K but am afraid to really add it up) and all I've done on the STI is the intake and AP. I think I've spent $1000 total due to shipping and the tuning fees (when we flew our tuner up here last month). Probably a tad less though. I'm so close to 12's that it pains me greatly that I cannot drop just .04 sec and add .5 mph to my times! ARGH!!!!

Finally brought my '04 gt to the 1/8th mile track and here is how I did on my fastest run:r/t: .491 (terrible I know my best for the night was a .016 haha)60' 2.410330 6.610mph 54.351/8 10.016mph 70.73I would have broke 9's easy with a good start. The track wasn't prepped real well either. I was launching at 6k slipping the clutch a lot, not a whole lot of wheelspin. I was happy even though I was shooting for 9's

Lol, I brought the vibe to the local 1/4 mile and she ran a 16.02@88.6mphI know I can get her into the 15's with a good launch.

what was your 60'? post up the times. remember, the better your 60' the better your ET. Also, what tires you running? weight reduction?

Oh i know, my 60' is terrible, my best one of the night was 2.56 or something. I've got full interior and continental all seasons at 40psi, hahahaha. I'm sure if I dropped them down to about 15psi in the front she would do alright. I can get into the high 15's since my best 60' was a 2.3 at another track.
