So I get pulled over...

So I get pulled over by this cop at 10:30EST on Rte. 11 in Northern Virginia going 5mph over the speed limit (Because I saw the cop ). The cop comes up and asks if I had anything to drink tonite because I was driving awfully fast. I told him I was only goin 5 over and he corrected me saying I was going 7 over. So he decides to give me a lecture on how 7mph over under the influence can be hazardous to other drivers. Correct me if I'm wrong but DUIing at any speed is hazardous to other drivers. So he tells me to get out of the car and he shines his mag-lite in my eyes and does the little pen in front of the face crap and find out that I'm not drunk and sends me on my way with a "warning". Wow, as everyone who reads this post as my witness, the first opportunity I get to leave Virginia, I WILL TAKE IT. BTW, I WAS sober

Sounds like you got lucky. I got pulled over last week for the same thing (5 mph over) and also got off with a warning. The cop claims that I should have noticed him pull up next to me at the light before I sprinted off. He said next time I should look around for cops before I speed. Was he giving me permission to speed when there are no cops around?

Geez... "You know sir, you should refrain from speeding if you choose to drink and drive!" (removed)!I've been accused of being under the influence a time or two... Sucks, considering well, I don't drink... This one cop refused to take no for an answer though, had me do every stupid little test he could and STILL accused me of being drunk after the breathalyzer reported back that I had nothing in my system! Sheesh.

The best was trying to walk the white line... The shoulder dropped off immediately after the line, so falling off was a given... I couldn't keep my balance there. That's a setup! Most of that stuff they make people do, I can't even do when sober, can't even imagine how I would be able to do that stuff if plastered!

A few years ago, I went to a Street Dance with some friends of mine. We were on our way home, pulling through the next town when I spot a cop hiding in the dark behind a building. I had nothing to drink, but the back seat floor is filled with empties, and no one in the car is 21. It wasn't my car, and we left the owner back at the street dance. He asked me if I had been drinking. I was so nervous I just blurted "Nope, nope, haven't been drinking" (I wouldn't have believed me either with that answer) He took me back to his car for the breathalyzer. I passed, of course, and it looked like that made him mad. ("Damn, an honest designated driver, who knew") Got off with a warning. (I was slowing down on my way into this town so I was speeding when I passed him). Later found out that with the street dance going on in the next town, he was pretty much stopping EVERY car that came by him that night. The next car he stopped was a friend of mine who got a ticket for speeding.

So, I get pulled over... (my story)Around 8:00pm, I'm heading for the driving range and am stuck in traffic about 100 yards from the entrance. The road has a center turning lane, so I get in it and on the way to the entrance, I pass a cop in the traffic. He's on my tail in a flash and follows me into the driving range. I know what he's thinking: some young punk is hot rodding around in his modded up wagon and using the turn lane illegally (which, was technically true: apparently 100 feet is the maximum distance you can drive). What a shock for him when he sees this forty-something guy rolling down the window and a golf bag in the back seat...He let me off with a warning.

I got pulled over a few weeks ago because the cop said I didn't look 16... I'm about 6 foot tall, somewhat long hair, at the time, I had a goatee, and i'm often mistaken for being older than i am at school...the cops around here get no action whatsoever

I've been pulled over 1 time in my Vibe. Fall 2002 I was driving my wife to a doctors appointment a 100 miles away and got pulled over for doing 66 or 67 in 65. I think the cops just wanted to turn around and go fast and check out my new car.

That's why I would never be a good cop, I would just turn my lights and siren on and speed around all day

I have a video that has made the rounds on the net, it shows a Texas Trouper giving a sobertiy test on this guy. He passes everything the trouper throws at him. he does the alphabet from Z to A as fast as someone could do it from A to Z, the trouper says "Thats amazing, I've never seen anyone do that." She knows this guy is drunk, so finally she has him do this dance step. he does it flawlessly, the he says "yanno what would be better ?" do this and spin and kick. .. the trouper says "Wow, thats really good, you must be a dancer" the guy responds, "Naw, I'm just drunk" then he realised what he said and points to her and says "awwwww" the video is funny as sh*t.

My vibe got me pulled over alot. 1st time was on a sunny day i popped a hill on a country road and a schoolbus was just pulling its stop sign out and I tried to slam on brakes and started to fish tail and didn't want to hit the bus so i blew through it, 20 minutes later that bus driver see's me getting gas and calls me in and highway patrol gives me a sitation to appear in court. there i got lucky with 6 months probation and court cost. Then last november i was late for work and ppl were driving 45 in a 60 and i passed a row of cars and right as i moved over coming at me was a cop who nailed me doin 38 over speed limit. since i was 19 and (since i got probation the other ticket never went on record) since i had no tickets on record I again got 6 months probation and court cost, then the racing on I-44 got me court cost, 6 months probation and a 4 hour driving course. then the week before i had my car totalled out i got a ticket for spinning my tires at a stop sign which didn't even happen. as i was geting back into my car the officer said, "wait a minute, I'v been meaning to stop you and talk to you. We've had multiple pages of complaints about your subs in this town and we'd appreciate it if you'd turn them down around here." The jerk pulled me over saying i spun out at a stop sign when i just coasted up and pulled in to the grocery store 2 drives ahead just so he could tell me to turn my system down. well that ticket was paid because I couldn't take off work. Cops hate vibes! but I luv'm
