Upgrading 2003 Vibe

I've got a stock 2003 Vibe, nothing new or upgraded about it, except for a new CD deck and sirius radio. It's the first car I've ever purchased, let alone brand new car (it's 2 years old now), and I'm looking to spice it up a little so I can stay excited about driving it. I don't race it, and I'll probably never show it. I'm also married (well, I will be soon), so I don't need to pick up chicks. I just want it to look awesome. What should I get for it? A friend recommended a new air intake / filter, and a supercharger (there's one on ebay for $140), before going onto things like an interior LED / neon accent kit and body kit. What are your expert recommendations? As an aside, anyone live in PA? From what I understand, the laws regarding window tint are archaic as all hell, but naturally, I want to tint my windows. If anyone has a clear understanding of the law, or at least a clear understanding of what I won't get pulled over for, please let me know.

Welcome fellow PA member. Just a bit of advice, that supercharger on Ebay (if it's the one I'm thinking about) is just a leaf blower motor and isn't worth a damn. But yes, a CAI will help and maybe an aftermarket exhaust would help, some tint and overlays from http://www.grafxwerks.com

The most popular mods are probably intake, exhaust, tint, overlays, rims/tires, and drop springs (in no particular order). The $140 supercharger, please don't waste your money. It's worthless and you will not gain anything from it. Congrats on the pruchase and we love pics! Welcome to genvibe!

Welcome to genvibe. By all means like everyone else has posted stay away from the BS "superchargers" on Ebay. Install a CAI, get a performance muffler (catback), some nice wheels and a drop (springs) and you are set.Maybe a nice tint job? Why not.Oh and BTW we love pics on this site

Thanks for the link, and the advice. I'm having some trouble locating several things though. I'm new to the whole mod / custom scene, so I'm not even sure if I'm looking for the right things. Like I said, I do want a CAI, and it looks like everyone is using or recommends the Injen one, which is roughly $200 from a couple websites I've seen it on. Is there a better place to get it?I found all the decals and overlays from grafxwerks.com... that part was easy. A couple other things I want are a body kit and a new hood. I don't really like the hood from RKsport, but it's better than the original one. I think this hood looks cool: (link to picture)... but I can't find it anywhere. I'm also trying to find a good place to get a body kit. It seems like that's pretty easy, since Aerogear makes them and there's a reseller about 2 hours away from my house that sells it for $700... but I'm assuming that doesn't include painting or installing. Anybody have any suggestions on where to look for a cheaper body kit, or where I could get it installed... or even how much I should expect to pay the reseller to install it for me? Rims would be nice too... I think I can handle that one on my own though. I don't want the drop springs, since I don't think my car could handle drop springs with a body kit driving on the roads I have to drive on. I'd end up scrapping my undercarriage all over the highways. What does a performance muffler give me? Hopefully not a car that'll cause headaches if it's running for over 10 seconds... I hate that. Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome, of course. I've had this car for over 2 years, and I'm getting kinda tired of it, but can't afford to get a new one for a LONG time... so if I can spend a couple grand customizing it so I'm proud to be seen in it again, it's worth it.
