A couple of days ago we had some really bad rain storms here in Montreal. We had some major highways closed due to flooding. Here are some pics a friend of mine sent me to show you the damage Thank God no one was killed!

This has happened twice in about 3 weeks now in different parts of the city. Our drainage system was overloaded and they are still trying to fix it, (removed) with the amount of taxes we pay this is what we get

They do some tough truck compititions around here. Basically they take old Jeeps, Pickups, Scouts, Blazers...whatever they can get a hold of cheap and have mud races. Theres about 6 races a summer out here.Anyway a lot of them run the intake inside the cab.I can understand if they got caught in a flash flood in these low spots, but you have to be a complete idiot to even attempt to drive through this stuff. Even if it looked like it was 6 inches deep that's enough running water to push your car into a barrier and do some damage.

Yea,imagine when i arrive at work this days, where like 30-40cm flood in the gate, where i work, all the security and stuff was there,to cut all the electricity and stuff. For a moment,we have been in flood with no power and phone line in this sector. And,my locker was 10cm above the floor, imagine the consequence.
