What mods can be done to an 05 GT?

Everyone is telling me that this new throttle is gonna make a lot of mods hard to do, and I'd really like to do some engine mods this time but I'd like to hear from people with 05's rather than people in a store who don't know jack.

Suspension. The shocks are firmer on the GT and they work well with stiffer springs like the TRD/ProKits. Every Vibe should have a progress rear bar. There's no reason a CAI shouldn't work but I don't know who makes one for an 05. Exhaust should be no problem and remember that you'll lose power below 3.3k rpms in a gt with an intake but gain a lot in lift. There's also no reason that a Unichip won't work on an 05. The front strut bar does little unless you've got a sun roof.

http://www.unichip.us But it's expensive. I'd watch the matrix and Vibe boards for a used one and get it reflashed for your application. I think they're about $750 new and under or about $500 used complete with harness so make sure it's for a Matrix/Vibe and model doesn't matter.

I bought a unichip I need to get reflashed after I reinstall my CAI and get an exhaust put on. Cost me $400 used from a 03 Vibe GT. I gotta get my (removed) in gear for an exhaust though if I want to get some fun out of it this summer before it fades away. Now I'm not sure the reason why you can't use a strut brace on the front if you have a sunroof... maybe the same reason GM says no 17" with sunroof... either way though the handling difference with that in there is like night and day. Awsome, I got one on my Vibe.

I was saying that the strut brace actually does something if you have a sunroof because you're missing a roof cross member. In a closed top it's rigid enough that the brace is more for show.
