Last night, I was witness to stupidity at its finest.

So as some of you may know, I am a volunteer firefighter, and a VRT (vehicle rescue tech). So last night we had a wreck, one car overturned. When ariving on the scene, there was a red Hyundai on it's roof and nobody around the car at all. Generally, this is common with DUI single car wrecks on the back roads. While we are waiting for the tow truck to arrive, a kid (17 yrs old, I know this exactly, keep reading and you will know why) drives his truck over the hill that the car wrecked on and parks behind our firetruck. While I am talking with the one cop that I have known for a few years, the kid walks up to the cop and..... I will type the conversation verbatim:Kid: Do you guys need a statement or anything?Cop: Why did you see the wreck?Kid: Yeah, I was driving behind him when he wrecked.Cop: Where is the driver of the car?Kid: I drove him home.Cop: You took him home?Kid: YeahCop: Is he OK?Kid: Yeah he's fine.Cop: (looking at him suspiciously) Have you been drinking tonight?Kid: Yeah I had a few.Cop: Do you know what the legal drinking age is in PA?Kid: 21Cop: How old are you?Kid: 17So, not only did this kid come walking up to a cop drunk and tell him he was DRIVING (the cop saw him drive up in his truck) and that he was only 17, but he also helped his friend commit a crime (leaving the scene of an accident)All said and done, the moron was arrested for underage drinking and DUI. His BAC was .14 (almost twice the legal limit in PA (for those over 21 yrs old)The driver of the car was also found and arrested.
