what i gather is that the police felt like real sissies because they couldnt save the guy, so they made the hero look like a criminal to help their image.in all reality, they will recieve tons of hatemail and ridicule for a long time.

Their reasoning is sound, they don't want to have to save 2 people, but the fact is he safely recovered the person with no harm to either of them, they should have just left him alone instead of getting an attitude.

Cops, some say never around when you need them and in this case they were around and did not help like this guy did! To serve and arrest...
