Drive safely *and* sensibly this weekend!

As I was coming home from work at 3:something this morning, I was driving like granny at 55 MPH as I usually do... But tonight, thanks to the holiday weekend, there were idiots blowing past me left and right, some even appeared to be going far over 85 MPH. Yikes. And the worst offenders were those from way out of state - kinda scary that they would be hauling (removed) like that on unfamiliar roads in some unfamiliar locality in the middle of the night... I have to say, I was a bit worried about what I saw tonight....Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say here is don't be like those idiots. Slow down, watch out for the morons, and take care of yourselves. Have a good weekend, be safe and stick around the speed limit - it may not seem like it, but trust me - you'll get to your destination faster if you aren't dead or if you haven't killed someone else along the way. LOLYes people please be careful out there, you don't save anytime by driving like a maniac. I don't want to see anymore Vibe accident pictures come Tuesday.

(Do coalition members carry cards? LOL) ...I would just like to say that I agree. Don't drive stupid, and certainly don't drink and drive. You may think you're okay, but you're probably not. No more Vibe accidents, y'all...no more! The moratorium is in effect! And as someone who is from out of state...I would certainly not be going 85 mph in that particular area...makes it too easy to get off on the wrong interstate...LOL.

There will be a lot of cops out this weekend too. Independence day weekends means a lot of travel which also means a lot of potential income for ticket packing cops...Another reason to drive safely and sensibly this weekend.

well, don't drive like granny. On my way home from work yesterday, divided road, two lanes each way, speed limit 55 mph, I was rolling along behind a car in the fast lane going about 60, I had the proper distance between us (or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it) when all of sudden granny decided to stand on her brakes, locking up the wheels, skidding, kicking up a plume of tire smoke, and I was able to avoid her by pretty much doing the same thing (except for the ABS) and going over into the median. Apparently a kitten was on the road. I heard the screeching tires of the wad of cars behind me and just blew past granny and got the hell out of the way. so drive safe, and be on the lookout.

I'd like to echo the sentiments of the others here. I hope everyone will have a great and safe 4th of July holiday weekend. I know I'll be miserable, but I can still hope for others to have a nice time. And please, please, please, don't drink and drive. I don't need some drunk idiot killing any of my few remaining family members and I'm sure that there are many others out there who feel the same way.

I'm pretty sure i'm not going to be driving anything this weekend except for maybe a military HMMWV(hum vee) cuz i'm kinda stuck up here in west point New York training some stupid cadets, and the cell phone reception up here sucks donkey doo doo; ny company was supposed to go to NYC for the weekend but that kinda got canceled because we have some idiots in it. ARRRGGHH stupid people suck, but alas i only have 12 more days of this stuff and then i'll be back with my fiance and then soon after that i'll be headed home with her in tow to meet my parents.
