those xB's are very distinctive looking, I don't care for it but apparently lots of people do.A lot of toyotas now have centered instrument cluster. Is it to make it easier to make left and right hand drive versions of the same vehicle?

The center guage pod isn't that bad; it's actually cool, lots of people comment on it (in my car at least!), and it makes seeing the gauges easier. it just takes a little getting used to, but once you do it's nothing. My buddy's little sister has an xB, and she loves it; she just uses it to go to school & dance classes & work, and it gets *****in' fuel economy. I don't know about the 4500 RPM-at-70 comment, but I'd have serious doubts about that; even an idiot wouldn't gear a car like that. However, to each his own; I think they're pretty cool, but that's just me, and even though I traded my Vibe for a coupe, I'll always be in love with hatchback/wagons/crossovers.

I test-drove a xB and didn't like it much. It had all the TRD aftermarket stuff on it and it ran like *#$@ and the so called "amazing" sound system sounded horrible... but this is all just my experience.

I test drove an xA, and the thing has no power. (plus no room, but the xB is better on that.)Still, whenever I see an xB I think "Mail Truck!"
