How Much Do you Pay A Month? APR?

I just got my Vibe about a month ago now and I've been wondering something about the whole shopping experience since then. And reading today I saw somebody talk about having to return their Vibe because of a loan issue so I decided to post this question to you all.I just want to gauge and compare what we all are paying for our Vibes. I had a really high annual percentage rate with my first Vibe but got a lower one with the new one.Old #'s329.30 a month17% APR72 MonthsNew #'s405.07 a month8.29% APR72 MonthsI had to really fight with the new dealer to get this rate too. They originally gave me a rate of 11% and a payment of over 430 bucks. I was like HELL NO! I'm now paying over $75 then what I used to but I have a brand new car with low miledge (75 mile when I drove off the lot). The old Vibe was about to hit 70K soon and it was an '03. I do a lot of driving everyday so it was important to get something with low miles.BTW...This is all just a whim so you don't have to post anything if you want but you can chime in with your thoughts.EDIT:Added months!

Another big factor in your monthly payment is the term. How many months is your loan? EDIT: OK - you state 72 months not once but twice! How about the amount financed? Was there a large balance that you rolled over from the first loan?

I got mine through GMAC at 5.9 for 72 months. My payments run me 370 a month.Oh and its a new Vibe.Just out of curosity, why did you trade in your vibe when it only had 70K miles on it? Was there something wrong with it? The reason I ask is because I drive about 90 miles a day(all highway).

5.9% * 72mo = $540mo! Yep, with $9k upside down on a POS C230 my wife paid way too much for that started breaking down, we paid $27k for a base Vibe fully loaded w/ M&T! It sucks, but I still love it!

And I figured I'd get a new one and pay a little more. I'm paying a bit more then what I wanted but I'm ok wih it.

Originally 6.5% - 60 months and way more a month than I wanted...Like $445. Bought it brand new in Apr 2002 and traded in an unpaid for car so that added to the cost...Refinanced I think at 5% for 60 months, now $330 a month. I figured I'll end up paying $200 dollars more when all is said and done, but I need the extra $115 a month at this point and I can always pay more when I got more.

I want to do the same sometime down the road when it's available to me. I still think what I pay is too much for what I got.

I'm actually not sure where my credit stands. We were told the faster we pay it off the lower the interest. We were gonna go 24 months but he told us 36 months we'd get 0% interest so we dicided to do that since i also found that I'd be paying $410 a month in insurance with no accidents or tickets on my record. We still can't figure out why my insurance company clasified this car as a sportscar.

From $108 to $122 a month.

my expensive insuance is my supra which is a little over $500 a month but thats because its a track car and i was told if i take it out on the street my insurance on it will be canceled.edit: my insurance is high because it was upped to $100,000 coverage. $20,000 won't cover hospital billls, new car and lawsuits if you get into a bad accident. My dad said he's got us setup like that because you never know what gonna happen..like what happened to my vibe yesterday..

Re: Insurance...A $100k limit is always going to be MUCH more than a $15k/$35k limit ($15k per person, $35k aggregate per accident...that'll cover maybe a few days in the hospital, let alone the treatment!)

Quote, originally posted by ProVibe »Wow! Great deals indeed. If I had the money I would've done the same thing. Well, to some extent it is a choice. The last time I'd purchased a car was April 1993 and paid off the loan in 1995. So drove the same cars for 8 more years before buying again. 8 years without car payments makes for a nice savings plan. Of course there were a few hefty repair bills along the way, but nothing like a car payment. Also, there is not a heckuva lot of depreciation on the value of a car that is 8 yrs old to one that is 10 yrs old!

$299/month (GMS price with $500 of lease payments from my alero rolled in)0% interest (yay GM financing offers!)60 monthsinsurance for my 03 vibe and an 05 9-2x is $230/month. rates depend a lot on where you live too...

we had the cash, but when i saw that 0% for 36 months didn't have a 'penelty' of increaseing the price of the vibe, i decided the money is better in my bank than theirs!so we calculated what we felt was a managable monthly payment...multiplied it by 36 months and that's how much we financed....then payed the remainder in cash!i have to agree...0% GM financing is nice!

5.5% through a local bank, first loan ever. Payment doesn't matter since we put a decent chunk down. Been making double payments anyways to get the principle down as well.

I pay 280.00 a month @ 0% interest for 60 months thanks to GMAC financing. Traded in a Sunfire I was still paying for, but at least it wasn't upside down so it had a little equity. Didn't put a dime out of pocket down.I pay only 185.00 every six months for insurance, so what is that about 31.00 a month. My insurance went down substantially when I got the Vibe from when I had the 2 door Sunfire. Almost as cheap as my wife's Montana but that is even cheaper since it is a minivan!
