There are so many daily sonic booms out here on base that a little earthquake usually goes unnoticed . Each sonic boom shakes my building as much as a mag-4 earthquake. The best one I've felt so far was the 7.1 back in '98 at the 29 palms naval station.I wonder how many more earthquakes we'll have this summer. Maybe LA and SD will finally break off the mainland and I wont have to drive so far to get to the beach!

I had my car up on jack stands yesterday and was working on it. The whole time, I had earthquakes in the back of my mind."What if an earthquake strikes while I'm under here...?"

This is just another reason why I decided to stay here in northern VA than move out to California. Mase, yeah I didn't think about being under the car until you mentioned it. Would really just have to hope an earthquake doesn't occur.

i nevere thought about earthquakes while working undere the car, but when I'm working undere it I still take a cinderblock and some scrap wood and put a backup underneath, about centered under the firewall where the various braces come together, just in case. Would suck to have the car come down, earthquake or not.

I might be traveling out to CA sometime this summer. I'll finally get to check it out. I haven't been there since I was 1 or 2, so of course I don't remember a thing. I always hear how great it is out there, hopefully I'll see.
