Hello all,I traded my 2000 Ford Focus in and just got a 2005 Fusion Vibe with the moon and toons package and I love it. I look foward to getting to know some people on here.I have a quick question about it: Is there a way to get my iPod to play through the factory stereo besides an FM modulator? I tried this and I get a lot of static. I didnt know if the head unit had some type of line out on the back. Thanks

Hey there! Welcome aboard! A new member in this general area, woo hoo! We're few and far between. I'm a Hoosier now, but I actually grew up not too far from e-town. Anyway, since you have a 2005, you can get an adapter of some description to allow a line input into the stock head unit... This wasn't possible on the '03/some '04's, I believe. There are a few threads in the electronics forum in regards to that. And there's always the option of a wired FM modulator in line with the antenna, those work quite well and not much static.

welcome aboard.i looked into the options for getting my ipod connected to my factory head unit when i first picked up my '05. you can get the adapter you need from
http://www.logjamelectronics.com/, however when i googled the part number, i found some other forums where folks were having trouble with the adapter. i ended up going for an aftermarket head unit (which, with moon and tunes presented it's own challenge) myself. if you go with the AUX2CAR adapter, i'd love to hear how it works.
