i am sure you could take it off when at home.that would be cool... directv on a road trip.i wonder how well it works.

I wonder if you can get internet over it as well. I think Dtv's is called Directway.

they have satillete mobile internet products on their site, but they say for marine use only.

Theoretically, you could use your existing receiver and just mount a dish on the roof. Though, it would only work if you weren't moving (since the dish needs to be aimed fairly precisely at the satellite).

I don't think this would work too well, its hard to lock on to signals with portable dishes and while moving down the road its gonna be worse.
