I've replaced my headlights 3 times in the last 4 months. The last 2 replacements have been Silverstars. Does anyone know of an electrical problem I could be having?? Short?? Or is this typical?? I drove with stock lights for 8 mos, then switched to Eurodesign blue lights, then Silverstars.... Any help would be great!

Anything other than standard halogens have been problematic in my car... I burned through several sets of $ilver 's and one set of Sylvania Xtravisions. One set of $ilverstars that were in the fogs even died at the exact same time - so I'm thinking I probably had a voltage spike which whacked both. Only thing I can suggest is to try a set of standard halogens, see how long they last... If those die, you probably have an electrical issue... Otherwise, just dealing with faulty bulbs, I imagine... I've had good luck since going back to plain ol' GE halogens, they've been in there for at least a year I'd say - no problems since. Not as bright or whatever as the other bulbs, but then again, a set of Silverstars isn't bright at all when they're burned out. lol!

Silverstars don't last long at all as you can see. Stick to the OEM bulbs and you won't go wrong.

I'll beat that dead horse.......Silverstars are nice, but they burn out very fast.

in all reality, how big of a deal is it for the light they emit to be blueish?

I like the blue-ish look myself, but i'd rather have them work for more than 2 months. Whats another good brand I should try that are bright blue??

I'd just buy Phillips Xtra Vision Bulbs, and be VERY careful installing them, most of the time the oils on your skin is what kills a halogen bulb. I won't buy Silverstars, ect anymore, the life of the bulb is too short for the money. One other thing, make sure the electrical blade connections are tight, if they are loose, that can cause the bulbs to blow early.

For me, it's not the blue look, it's the increased light output.

I installed Sylvania "Cool Blue" bulbs over 4 months ago (Wallmart $18/pair). Have had no problems and the increase in light candle-power is great. Not as bright as Silverstars, but I think they will last longer. I was very careful when installing them I used latex gloves (powder free)...
