Hey guys,As I spoke in a previous thread there is a car show here every year and as promised I took lots of pics. See link below.Unfortunately I did not have enough time to get my car ready for me to enter into the show. Though after seeing some of the cars they had there I thnk I could have entered my car as is and at least gotten a trophy
http://www.samuelmateo.com/pic...bum=6There were some really nice cars though. See for yourself.BTW. I also took some pics of me with the GenVibe.com T-Shirt. I was wearing it while at the show. Also... there were some thunder showers going through so most the pics show the cars beaded up and some others show the owners drying them off.

I was a bit confused by most of the cars, for the most part, it seems like the mods are worth more than the car ever was. The Cavalier being the case in point.

You figure a few grand for a turbo, a grand for the body kit, a couple grand for the rims and tires, a few grand for the crazy doors, hoods, trunnks, and hatches, then another few grand for the paint, you're already hitting at least $10k in mods, not mention the car audio/video set-up, interior mods, other under the hood mods, and all the other misc little things to make it show and you are probably at or over what you actually spent on the car itself!

But before I get my head bitten off for making fun of a modded car that is not worth modding (in my opinion) I'll be quiet.

The very first one, the Impala, was crazy, you had to see it in person to really appreciate it. It was wet and they were covering it up so I couldn't take the shots I wanted to but it was amazing. The mexicans were really the ones with a lot of airbrushing. Nice stuff too. I did not like their interior work though.Spinners were everywhere as well. The chrysler 300m with the lambo doors was sick. The Astro with the Cadi emblem was cool too. The interior was hot but the doors where locked so I couldn't take any pics of it.There was one matrix in the show this year but I did not like it at all.Over all I thought it was a good show. It will be better next year when I enter my vibe.

I tried taking a pic of it but you can't really tell.

At the bottom of page two...The Hyundai Tiburon has the most horrid looking body kit that I have ever seen on a car before. Not to mention those altezzas are god awful as well. The driver must be legally blind, or mentally unfit.

Those Altezza's are Ugly. Had not noticed. The body kit is a bit big but I don't think it's horrid. I like the paint job though.Which one are you saying is the Cav?

Pro, thanks for sharing the pixs!!! I thought some of those cars really had it going on. You made me homesick, though. When I was a kid, my mom would take me to the car show (yes, I have loved cars ever since I was a little girl) and 90-95% of the cars were lowriders - I have a thing for the lowriders!!! It was a FABULOUS show and the cars were HOT!!! Thanks again for sharing, hope you don't mind if I shared your site with a friend of mine!!!!

Nice stuff out there. Brought back a lot of memories seeing the Cavalier and Beretta! I used to have a 1998 Z24 but not like that one! Do not see many older cars here in Michigan, everyone drives new! Never seen a 300 with winged door until now! WOW!

The Tiburon for example. well, first, the front bodykit is aweful, one of the worst I ever saw, and it should be a pain in the (removed) to drive, with more weight and length at the front... I prefer practical mods, like most of us are doing.

I just went to a local car meet/show, too. It was Pontiac night so I thought I'd show my car. Got all set up and like 20min. later a bug storm ran through. Funny thing though was that as I was leaving I got stuck behind a Vibe from Indiana with the GM full body kit w/ both wings, tinted windows and painted brakes, and a SLP hood. Looked nice! but too much for me. I still am the only one around here without the roof racks .Oh, and here's a pic of the cav, that I keep getting into races with. I think it looks really good and it's purdy fast for a cavalier.

He's been really flaky lately..... Oops, too far with the Office Space! I don't like the front end too much. I think it's way too bulky and boxy for that car. Just my $0.02 though!
