Piece of cake. Done at least 15-20 of em. VERY easy. Just some people had trouble with their cars because they couldn't get their air filter on. I had no problems with the Vibe when I had mine on it. Inder

What type did you get? Just keep in mind that you will have to remove the battery and probably unscrew a relay box to get the thing in there, but it's not too difficult.

Yeah, it's pretty easy if you just go step by step through the instructions. Do a search for the CAI install post, it was very helpful, much better than the instructions Injen supplied for mine. One tip that will really save you a lot of hassle is use a little bit of dish soap on the rubber of the filter when you are sliding it on the pipe. I didn't do that when I first installed the intake and I was getting so aggrevated because it would almost be on and then slip off. It actually took me over an hour to finally get it on and that was without the soap. A couple months ago when I cleaned the filter, I put just a little bit of soap on and the filter slipped on right away. Good luck with the CAI, I'm sure you will really enjoy it!

lancer posted an excellent step by step how to for the cai install on a base vibe. the most important thing to remember, as phil found out, is to disconnect the battery FIRST before doing anything else and also reconnecting it LAST after you've done everything! if you don't you will most likely fry your MAF (mass airflow sensor) and that wouldn't be covered under warranty since you did something to it yourself. as long as you disconnect/connect your power source first/last before doing any kind of install or wiring w/ electronics, you should be fine. plus, i'm a chick. if i can do it, anyone can! i, with the help of wishminespimp, installed mavrik's cai on his base vibe at the supermeet. so if you are going and are hesitant, then i'm sure folks will help you out there.

Depending on how your racing hearing goes, you may have more than enough time to install it....you won't be able to drive it, but you can at least install it.
