I've been thinking about getting a sirius radio. They have a good special going on $50 rebate if you sign up for 6 months worth of service. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay the additional $70 bucks up front and wait 8 weeks for my $50 rebate. So I was wondering if anybody had experience with the XAct radios. Walmart carries them for like $78.I'll probably just end up waiting for a couple months and see if there is any more specials that come out.I like XM special going on now. But XM doesn't carry the husker games.

I don't have experience with the Xact radios other than seeing them on the shelf and thinking they look cool but the $100 Sportster is good and very versatile. You can get the boom box for it, I dunno if they make one for the other one. It just doesn't come with a car kit, unfortunately, without a price increase. Does the Xact come with one? I know the Starmate that's $49 with the rebate does, and it's $100 regular price so that's still pretty cheap, and no up-front payment for the service. It's a great service, you'll love it.

The Xact does have a boom box, but it costs more than the reciever.

I'd say go for the Starmate and not bother with the rebates... That may be your best bet - comes with the car kit and all... That's not a bad deal, I spent I think in the $150 range for a Sportster with the car kit.
