Are there any available GM discounts on top of employee?

Hey guys! I know we've got a few GM employee Vibe owners here at genvibe, and was wondering if there are any discounts/coupons/rebates available on TOP of the current employee discount pricing...I'm SERIOUSLY considering jumping into a new GM vehicle because of the new promo, but need all the help I can get in doing so. If there's ANY extra GM employee coupon/rebate/etc that you guys can share with me, I'd be ecstatic!Unfortunately, I'm upside-down on my loan by about $3k, so it's going to be tough...I'll only trade in my GT if they give me $15-$16k for it (doubt it ). If not, I guess I'll have to part it out.

The only other discounts would be the posted GMS price, available rebates, and GM Extended Family card dollars. There are not other discounts that I am aware of.

I don't know how that driveway thing works, and I also don't know of any additional rebates/discounts GM employees get over the current deals everyone can get. So basically I know nothing. But I did reply. I don't think you're alone in being upside down. There are probably millions of us out there.....Best thing would be to talk to salesman to see how the driveway thing works, and see what he/she can do. Then think about it for a while....(those sales people can be pretty pushy...)Later,CarlP.S. You looking at a new GTO?

A dealer can still discount the price further, for example, a Chevy ad in today's paper was offering an addiitional $250 discount beyond the GMS priice and rebate. Also advertises "Home of the 100,000 mile warranty no extra charge." If that is a $100 ded drivetrain warranty is has to be worth a couple hundred I woudl think. Before this "employee discount for everyone" promotion this multi-brand dealer often advertised to sell "$500 below any advertised price in this newspaper."

So does this mean the in the driveway coupon/discount could be available AFTER July 5, or did they do away with that altogether? If so, I'd LOVE it if you could grant me one...that is, only if I can't get into the new car before 7/5As for WHAT I'm considering, I'm looking hard at an '05 Saab 9-2x Aero 5-spd, which is on the same platform as the WRX, but might need more time to sell the Vibe (ugh, I can't believe I'm typing these words! ). Honestly though, if I can get into a $30k car for ~$21k out the door + 2 yrs sched. maintainance, intercooled turbo, 227 hp / 215tq / AWD, I'll be ecstatic. > On top of all this, it looks HOT, has 4 doors and a hatch, which I need for camping, road trips, lugging crap, etc

Yep, Subaru is not GM, but Saab/GM worked in conjunction with Subaru for the 9-2x. Final assembly of the 9-2x is done in Japan -- kinda weird for a "Swedish" car Anyway, thanks Silv We'll see if I can get it done..EDIT: Correction, I think GM owns ~20% of Subaru, not enough to consider them a subsidiary though

I know when I bought mine 2 weeks ago I got the conquest rebate and there were 2 other additional rebates for $500 a piece (not sure what those were though).

I'd have a 9-2x if they were running this earlier. The best I could do with GMS then was 23k or something like that, it's a heck of a lot better now.

On Sat. I got GMS, $1K rebate and $1K conquest. Wish I would have bargained more, but that's a little tough to do when the car you want is hard to find.

On Friday I picked up a new vibe with GM employee pricing, $1000 rebate, $1000 conquest. $1500 GM Card (Normally the Vibe has $1000 earnings limit, but GM was giving me $500 in bonus earnings until June 30) and $1000 Oldsmobile rebate (I bought a new 99 Alero in 2000, just before GM announced the death of Olds, they sent me this $1000 coupon soon afterward to keep me in the GM family, expiring on 12/31/2005).So I got rebates galore!
