Looking for HID look-alikes or some nice bright white bulbs, can anyone suggest a good brand? I as looking at Eurolite but they do not make a bulb that works for Vibes or Matrix's according to the people where I order my parts. Also, is the aftermarket # the same as the # in the manual? They were thinking maybe there is a dif. number.-tnx

I once used Eurolite Fusion bulbs. Worked fine for the 6 months or so that they worked. Cost me about $25.You need H4 or 9003 bulbs. They're both the same. Look for 55/60 watt bulbs. If you try higher wattage bulbs, you may melt the socket and wires... unless you install an upgraded socket. Also might mess up the relay but I don't know about that. The Fusions were bright... Cast a nice even light across the front. THey only lasted 6 months but that was still nearly 20,000 miles with the lights on all the time.Dave

So I would buy from auto part store or official website.Just my two cent...

I just changed my haedlights and foglight the other day. For headlights I went with Philips Crystal Vision and used SilverStars for the foglights. So far I like the way it looks, hope they last a while. The foglights were a pain to get to.

Those look nice I'm running Hella bulbs in the headlights now though still have Fusions in the fogs. the Hella's are close to the Silverstars though have a mild purple-ish look to em. Good road coverage as well.Want to try the GE Nighthawks in the fogs next unless I decide to go ahead and order Hella's for those as well.Seems the Philips are a good substitute for the Silverstars... Hope they last for you!Dave

The headlights look pretty interesting. How much did the Philips bulbs set you back, and where did you acquire them? I'd love to try something different someday..... But I'm still in $livershock, afraid to try any other expensive bulbs that last only a few months.

I picked up the Philips Crystal Vision from Meijer at a cost of $30 (sold as a pair). As well I disabled the drl/auto headlight feature in hopes of getting a decent bulb life.
