What do I think? Well I'm female and I have a Pontiac. It won't be my last Pontiac either.

Some how Lincoln never struck me as a big guy car. Maybe a big old guy car......

Well, I'm certainly not masculine so it's no surprise that I drive a Pontiac, and have considered replacing it with a Hyundai. I would be really interested to see a breakdown of model vs. gender - that's gotta be interesting...

Makes perfect sense to me. Huge generalizations coming here, but more men than women probably buy the most vehicle they can reasonably afford, and more men probably are willing to put down the extra money for the more powerful engine option. More men than women like to get vehicles that are an extension of their personality or enhance the image they want to project, while more women are willing to get something that suits their needs rather than their wants. I know...huge generalizations and I know there are lots of women that buy great cars with lots of power...there are some on these boards.The engine thing certainly holds true for me...the last three new vehicles I've purchased have had the most powerful engine available for that particular model. My old 96 Jetta...I was originally looking for a 90 hp TDI, but couldn't resist the sound and power of the 172 hp VR6 engine, so I bought the one with the VR6. My Dakota...there were two on the lot with similar equipment...I could have bought the one with the 175 hp V6 and saved some cash, but I went for the 230 hp 4.7L V8 because I liked the sound and extra power. And the Grand Cherokee...I could have saved some cash by getting the 210 hp 3.7L V6 or the 230 hp 4.7L V8, but I had to have the 330 hp 5.7L Hemi...after all, I already own a vehicle with the 4.7L V8, and the hemi was available and in my budget, so that's the one I took home.It's a disease I have...I like powerful engines. I don't want to find the cure.

Where is Chevy?????

Two years ago, my wife decided she wanted to get a new car. We shopped around and she decided on an S-10 at our local Chevy dealer. She did all the talking. She negotiated the trade in on her Cavi. She took it for a ride with the salesman while I waited at the dealer (there was no way I was sitting in the jump seat) sitting in the Vette in the showroom. When they got back, the sales guy took us to the finance/paperwork guy and introduced us. My wife filled out all the paperwork and I signed the lines where I needed to. This was her deal, I was only there because the State of Wisconsin says that one person in a marriage cannot barrow money without the consent of their spouse. It was late when all the papers were signed and the bank was closed so we left for the night with the promise that we would sign the final paperwork and exchange keys the next day.When we got to the dealership then next day, all the paperwork (title, loan etc.) listed me as the primary. (removed)? I was insulted for her! But in the end she didn't care all that much so we signed the papers and left. So now I have two cars in my name and she none. So there may be some flaws in the stats listed given that they simply did a title survey.

OK. Point made. Apparently another misuse of a word has become so widespread that the dictionary editors have caved and included it as a secondary meaning. What's next? "Ironical?"
