If your system came with M&T, that should have one wire in it called "Sensitivity Control", I think. It only works with the stock headunit. I don't think you need it with an aftermarket radio, if that's what you're asking.

no, i already have a aftermarket sony. i installed it along time ago. i have the nav system, and changer in the mail. i thought these were the changer control conector. what i really want to know, is where would the other end pop back out?p.s. what is "sensativity control"???

That's the connector that the changer would usually use, but if you didn't have a Nav system factory installed, the wiring for the changer isn't there. I recently sold my Nav system, and when I did, I had to pull the cable from the radio to the changer out, and sent it along with the system. The power and control for the changer should go back to the main wiring harness, down behind the shifter, underneath the carpet to the center console, then over to come out by the vent on the floor on the passenger side. But, as said, if you don't have the Nav factory, then the person you bought the Nav from has to send it to you. As far as i've seen, i'm the only person that's sold one on eBay to actually include everything you need to make it 'stock'.

so you're telling me that if can find the other end... i can't just connect the changer to the head unit. that cable should be preinstalled. today i'm going to find it.p.s. does anybody have wiring schematic for the changer. i can fabricate my own connector if worse comes to worse.

If you CAN find the other end, then you could. But, it depends on what wiring is back there. Is there only one wire going into the 12pin connector? Or a bunch? If there's more than one, then you might be in luck.

i found where they go. i tested for resistance on this connector that had the same color wires. it's at the base of the B pillar. it connects to another conncetor that goes to the right side side compartment. see the pictures below. it's weird, it goes to nothing.and it has a constant 12v wire. it's designed to power up something. anybody ever heard of rear mounted cd changer for the vibe? or matrix?ohh, my water interior is going by better. it's mostly dry.

What year Vibe do you have? I'm going to guess it's an 04/05?That connector, most likely, goes to the XM Module that you probably don't have, or OnStar.. but it's not for the changer...
