Ever since I picked up my 05 Vibe I have been unhappy with the level of interior noise. It's more like a wind noise above 40 mph. I have finally found the source. It is where the top of the interior door panels meets the bottom of the window. This noise is on both passengers and drivers side but seems a little louder on the passanger side. Try this: Drive at least 40 MPH and have a passenger place a light jacket, shirt or something directly on the point where the bottom of the window meets the top of the door panel, then remove it. Notice the noise difference? You can also vary the wind noise by pushing on the top center of the door panel so it gets a little tighter against the window. Anyone know if ther is someway to tighten the panel so it is against the glass a little more. I guess my next stop is to see if I can convince the dealer to do something. Any thoughts or comments? I know the Vibe is a noisey little car but this one noise source seems to be a big contributor.

I had the window seals replaced on mine on the third visit to the dealer when it was new. It was quieter for about 9 months but is getting loud again.

I bought my '04 vibe used just a few days ago and I have noticed the same "wind noise" coming from the driver's side door. I've not checked exactly where it is coming from, but since I also have a moonroof it could be one of several places.Thanks for your advice on the door panel. Let us know if you find a way to tighten it.

can I suggest, instead of tightening the panel to glass, which would include bending the inner door frame work. get some thick felt something soft but durable and adhere it to the top inner lip of the door panel sealing the gap but also giving the glass something to rub on. we have done this at work.
