Wow! Prices rose here for the past couple months but are now dropping again.tpollauf wrote:$1.96 in Toledo Saturday morning before I headed out to NJ. Then sticker shock when in Pennsylvania on the I76 turnpikeAnywhere from $2.58 to $2.69. Good thing I did not fill up in NJ as I was told that it is one of TWO states in the country that mandate FULL service and they must fill your car, not you!

Basically the same here. We were hovering around $2.90 or so until recently. We still have only dropped to about $2.35.Caretaker wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 5:12 am I do find it amazing that the price of oil for the past year has hovered around $57 a barrel. Locally, we've been seeing gas prices about $2.60 per gallon during that time. Now oil is at $20 a barrel. Funny how we don't see a near equivalent 1/3rd cut in gas prices.
Probably the $$$ is needed to pay for the huge construction project "somewhere" up in the mountains in the outset of Pittsburg area. I was told it's a 45 to 60 minute bus ride up to this site (your time) then same ride back to the parking lot, and is a nasty work environment. Fracking, refining, not sure??? Friends of mine talked about this job and wanted me to join them there. NOPE ! Pretty sure it's a URC project.
I am curious about that. I haven't heard of any construction going on near Pittsburgh from URC. I believe they have like a transfer station/holding station thingy near Butler, PA. Which is about an hour outside of Pittsburgh.tpollauf wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 3:57 pmProbably the $$$ is needed to pay for the huge construction project "somewhere" up in the mountains in the outset of Pittsburg area. wow! Normal price or just a price war?
Normal price for regular. Yesterday it was 1.05 ... today .99 We have some of the more affordable gas in the country right now!
Lowest in relatively recent memory was $1.719/gal back in June 2020
the president does not dictate gas prices. let's leave politics in the politics section of the forum.
sure hope you got the decimal point in the wrong spot
