Hooking up an 1/8" line for my Ipod

I want to hook up an 1/8" female jack to my 2005 Vibe single CD radio. It has a CD/Aux button on there so it seems that it should be possible. Has anyone found where the best place to splice it in should be? (Specific directions would be great.)I've tried FM transmitters and their range sucks and I also have static problems when I have my cell phone charger plugged in so that route is out.The other reason is that I sometimes transport youth group kids and they like to bring in portable DVD players and other mp3 players and it would be great to be able to hook any of those into the female jack.I'm a bit nervous about taking the radio out and unplugging it from the jack in the back because I was told that the stereo system also handles all the sounds for the car alarm and I don't want to disable that and have to go to the dealership to get it reset.

Get an AUX2CAR adapter. Google to find sellers. In the Vibe, because it is really a Toyota in its guts, the Radio connects to essentially nothing other than the speakers and 12volts. It doesn't handle car alarm stuff and will not lock if you disconnect it.

As said, the radio doesn't have the standard GM features..and you wouldn't have to have it reset if it was a newer radio anyway. That'd only be if you tried to put it in a different car. If it was an older unit, it'd have theftloc, but these don't, so that's no worry.Try the Aux2Car. That's gonna be your easiest bet other than aftermarket.
