Wow this site has been DEAD! Especially the Michigan forum. Someone say something...Has anyone done anything car related this past weekend? I went to a sale at Freedom Hill to look for a junker to drive to work and school instead of the Vibe but it ended up being a Ford sale of new cars that were WAYYYYYYYYYYYY out of my $1000 price range.Does anyone know when and where those Police "repo" car auctions take place?

I welded the trunk floor in my project car back together.I have a truck I'll sell you for 1600 - 94 Jimmy SLE 4x4. Otherwise I have an 83 Caprice I'd sell for $200, but it smokes. I'd also sell you my 95 Talon ESi for 2800. Sorry, I know you weren't looking for offers, but I figure why not, I have to get rid of these cars.

ESi is the dodge neon drivetrain. 2.0 DOHC non-turbo with an automatic. Not really looking to sell it, but I would for the above price since I'm going to try and purchase a house in the next 4 months. I plan on plating it next weekend or the following weekend and using it as my daily again.

Thanks for hte offer, all offers are appreciated I'm looking for something with descent gas milage that's under $1200.I REALLY want a manual trans so I can practice. I want this car for a few reasons actually:1) To drive to and from work2) To drive to and from college when I start this fall3) To practice all my auto skills on like body work, engine work and all that stuff4) To have fun withI want something cool like an old Z or an Omni to restore OR something REALLY small like a Geo Metro, Ford Fiesta, or Civic just so I can rice it out. I've allways wanted to rice out a car! I kind of wanted a car I could eventually restore and resell but that's not a big deal. As long as it runs good I'll take it. I don't care about rust or anything. There's a pile of sh*t '87 Supra out front of my work. Can't tell if it's for sale because there's no sign but it's been there for weeks. I REALLY REALLY want it to fix up but there's no number on it.

My buddy is going to be selling a 95(ish, could be like 94-97) Civic DX (plain jane), but he's not selling it for a while; right now we're rebuilding the engine. 207k miles, 5-speed (IIRC, you said you wanted to learn to drive a stick!), and it shouldn't be too much. Expect $500-1000 depending on how well we clean it up.And if you don't buy it, I will.

For sure is he near here? I would buy it if the engine was sound. Let me know when it's finished I'll give you my cell number.

I'll definitely keep you informed; the engine is definitely sound, it ran OK as it was, but we tore it apart cuz we want it to run spectacular. We're also fixing some of the body rust, cleaning the interior & engine bay, etc. He's in Brighton, IIRC you're Madison Heights/Royal Oak region, so light traffic, 45 min. away. We're not sure when it'll be done though because the 3 of us that are working on it have extremely differing work schedules.
