Just received and tried to install the COSMO CAI on my 2005 Base Vibe today. Did not get far, the first thing I found was a tube running from the under the engine cover into the air Duct - some posts have called it a smog vacuum line. What do I do with it? Second, I could not find the first (front) vacuum switching valve which is suppose to be on the top half of the air box. I did not go any further, did not see the use until I find out where I am at.I downloaded the pics by Lancer (great work by the way) but my engine compartment is very different. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have done the same install a couple of weeks back. you are only suppose to plug one of the hose to the CAI ( I know that it shows 2 in the instructions ) It also takes a little work to get the CAI tube in place but after a little yanking it will fit. Here are a couple of pictures, you can see the hose which plugs under the CAI.Hope it helps.Benhttp://img202.echo.cx/img202/5642/s30100014wu.jpghttp://img202.echo.cx/img202/2788/s30100022il.jpghttp://img202.echo.cx/img202/5404/s30100036rv.jpghttp://img202.echo.cx/img202/1679/s30100058gd.jpg
