Has anyone had any problems with the bumper paint peeling off on their monotone Vibes?I'm looking at getting one and would prefer the 2-tone because I've had bad luck in the past with painted bumpers on other cars. Once it got a little scratch it was really easy to peel the rest off just by going to the car wash.Thanks.

I never had a problem with the original paint job on the bumpers. The problem I had is with the paint jobs after having an accident. The paint was peeling just where water was sprayed against the edge of the bumper from the tires. Then I got rearended again and the paint really started peeling from the scrapes. Even water would get in a scrape and cause it to peal more. The second body shop I went to for another rear ending accident did a better paint job and it hasn't peeled at all.

The paint job on this car in general sucks, regardless of model or whether or not you go for the monotone package. It's all the same paint. It doesn't peel, per se, but it chips pretty much if you look at it the wrong way. My car has acne...it's pretty ugly.

Yeah the paint is thin and chips easily. I've had several chips that went to the bare metal that I had to grind the tiny bit of rust off and prime and touch up.
