Mud flaps

Picked up my new 05 AWD Vibe this evening. Part of the deal was to put mudflaps all around. For some reason, they only put them on the back. The salesman thought that perhaps they don't make them for the front. The pars dept. had closed already so he couldn't go check. Anybody out there know if they make them for the front???

is your car 2tone or Monochrome? They had some fitment issues with the front mudguards on the '05 2tone.Does it have a sport package? No mudflaps on the front if you have the sport package, due to the extended side moldings.I'll have to look in the Catalog tomarrow, but gmgoodwrench.com/accessories shows on the rears on the '05's.......oddPS, Welcome to the AWD Revolution!

I am confident that the proper part nos...for the montone car are:12498056 - Front and 12498057 - Back

There is not a front mud guard for an '05 base or AWD. The product note states that it will not fit an '04 after the new side moldings have been installed, and won't fit the '05 at all.

Sorry if this seems like a duplicate post, but I got a email about this thread, and wanted to make sure that the information here was complete for later searchs.According the the latest update I have (May '05 ProQuest GM parts catalog) the new side sill moldings don't allow the front guards to be mounted. If the dealer is giving them to you, by all means take them, and you can sell them to someone else, but at this time there is not a front mudguard for anything but a GT, 2tone or Mono. I will call PARTECH Monday just to be 100 % clear.

You're losing me here. Are you saying that the 04 front guards will fit my 05 two tone AWD?

Finally got an answer from PARTECH. Had to wait to talk to a supervisor, which is what took so long. The 12498057 will fit the rear, but there is not a current part for the front. I insisted that the 12498056 SHOULD fit, but they in turn insisted it wouldn't. There is supposed to be a new part# released soon that will fit the '05's. I asked if the 12498056 would fit with modifications, and the reply was 'at your own risk'. *sighs* sorry....all I can do is ask someone who has an '05 that their dealer has the fronts in stock give them a try to let us know for 101% sure if it works or not.

I emailed the GM Zone Accessories website and they told me the P/N for front flaps for my two tone 05 AWD Vibe is 12499855. According to them, those will fit, no problem.

Rear Set: GM PART # 12498057 Front Set: GM PART # 12498056 Before I go ahead and order these parts, would like to confirm that they would be the correct fit on the 2005 base model 'without' the rocker panels...Thanks for the numbers. The Parts department at my dealership are absolutely helpless when it comes to the Vibe...

Rear Set: GM PART # 12498057 Front Set: GM PART # 12498056 These part numbers are correct.I had these guards installed on my 05 base 5 speed monotone vibe today. The fit is perfect.

I tried to order front & back flaps for my AWD from GM parts direct & it said I needed 4 for the front & 4 for the back...a total of 8 @ $21 each. according to the picture on this post, there is only one flap per tire, which means I need 4 flaps. Any ideas on this... $185 for mud flaps seems like alot

also when installing flaps use a very short drill or a drill stop or you will poke right thru your molding. i wish i could say that this didn't happen to me.

I don't think I misunderstood - I went on the GM parts direct internet site & it said the same part no. as mentioned in the thread and says Qty in Pk. 4. When you put it in your shopping cart it says 4 @ $21.00 front = $84.00 and 4 @ $21.00 rear = $84.00. I even tried to change the quantity but it still says 1 qty of pkg 4. Unless they mean I am getting all four flaps for $84, but if that was the case, why would there be different part no. for the front & rear? I'm probably just gonna look somewhere else. Thanks!
