The only thing I'm concerned about is with the transmitter part... If it only has a few different frequencies to choose from, don't waste your time, IMHO. I've never had any luck at all with those, as it seems all of the few 88.x MHz freqs many of 'em like to use are either taken, or are immediately before/after stations so it just didn't work. Due to that, I recommend the transmitters that have digital tuning and will let you put the thing on whatever FM frequency suits you for your particular area. By far, the best FM transmitter I've ever used (besides the one that's built into my Sirius receiver, lol!) is this one from C. Crane Company... http://www.ccrane.com/fm-transmitter.aspx A bit costly, but it works quite good...But I do like the idea of plugging in a USB flash drive makes it instantly an MP3 player. If the transmitter part works, you may have a deal... Hard to say there....

I like the USB drive -> MP3 player idea too, don't really care about the FM transmitter part though. Hard to tell from the ad what the controls are likeWonder if car stereo makers will ever get around to putting USB connectors on their aftermarket head units. That would be pretty slick.

If the unit has an independent output volume control, try adjusting that or else the volume of the mp3 player before the volume of the radio itself. I have a hardwired FM transmitter in my Vibe and it also develops a buzz when I get the stereo cranked way up. I usually turn the iPod all the way up, and then it's fine.

Seems the controls are for the USB part ... rewind, play, fast-forward and channel.

now wouldn't it be cool if there was an USB stick MP3 player/FM transmitter device that also took the song title/artist info from the MP3 file and encoded it into an RDS signal that the stock headunits would display? I'll buy one of those.
