There's little black dots on the wondshield. I understand why they put some of them at the back of the mirror but why they put those black dots all along the A pilar, on passenger side?

The little dots are for shading. The ones in the center behind the mirror are to provide shade in the open space between the visors when they are down. It's assumed that there aren't any on the driver side because they would shade the light sensor.

Yeah, what's with that light sensor anyway. I'd be better off with a flashlight and a blanket to keep it acurate. Does anyone know if those dots can be taken off with a razor or something. I'd love to mount my Valentine one right there, above the rear view mirror.
