Hey all, haven't posted in a while, but I'm wondering if this sounds like a problem with my cold air intake on my '03 Vibe GT. When the car is cold or has been sitting for a while, after I start it up, it feels like the engine hesitates for a second before it revs up, but after it is up to normal operating temp, it works fine, is this normal? What could be causing this? Here is a pic of my Vibe too.

I just got my Cosomo CAI, installed the other day on my 04 GT.I havent had any problems with the exception that if i dont let the engine warm up a few min the "check engine" light comes on. Did you unplug your battery for about 30-40 minutes and then restart and let idle for 10-15 min?

Has this been ocurring since the day it was installed, or did it crop up recently?

No I didn't do that, should I? And I dunno if it has been happening since I installed it, I think I might have just started noticing it more lately after I took it apart to clean the filter.

You can try disconnecting the battery, no harm done (except resetting the clock on your radio), but you only need about 5-10 minutes of lapse time for a guaranteed computer reset. You could try checking the MAF sensor, as other people have discovered, when oiling filters, if you put too much on, it could get sucked in and clog up the MAF...just disconnect the battery BEFORE disconnecting the MAF...it's very sensitive, fries easily, and costs a lot to replace. I myself *sometimes* notice a slight drop or hesitation in the engine before it warms up, but I tend to notice it more in cold weather. I would imagine if that's ALL that is happening, and you're not getting any CELs or noticeable drops in operation, then you're probably ok.

Cool, nope, there is no change in fuel mileage or high rev performance, and I've never had a CEL and I actually put a new MAF in it a few weeks back so I'm sure it's not that, thanks for the advice.

Yeah, you can certainly try a computer reset, just to see what - if anything - it does. But my PERSONAL, and HIGHLY UNEDUCATED opinion, is that there is no real problem.
