I think the jury is still out on whether this will work with the in dash changer.Just to be sure, I would wait till Monday to call and ask unless you can get a definitive answer from someone here. just my opinion

I want to know too! I called and they said it would work fine with the indash changer on the 2005 vibe. You just hook it up to the 12 pin in the back. But I am waiting for confirmation before I buy it too.

Do you have XM, Onstar on your '05? It's possible that you might have to disconnect and/or lose functionality of one or both.Just a warning..this is uncharted territory, so please let us know how it works out with the 6-disc!

And if so, I really want to talk to you!)That's a definitive answer. I've tried it.

Did your adapter harness have just one yellow power wire or was there a ground wire coming out of the harness as well?

Mine had just the yellow power wire. It grounds through the radio 12-pin

Where did you connect your power wire? No ground loop and alternator whine for you?

Sounds like she tapped into the blue wire with a white strip, constant 12 volts to the radio. Thats the same place I tapped into, no whine or noise of any sort. I do wonder, if anyone may be able to answer, instead of tapping into constant 12 volts, why not tap into switched 12 volts? I wonder if it would do away with the white noise I get after I shut everything off?

Depends on what the adapter needs. If there're any settings it has to store or anything, having the constant power switch on and off might cause problems down the line. I doubt it would have anything to do with the 'white noise'.. Especially if the radio is off. But..who knows for sure..

Yup, that's where it is, haven't heard any noises...The little I have used it anyway. I bought to use with an mp3 player, got a 5 gig Rio Carbon...it had issues had to take it back.I have a Zen Micro on order from Circuit City, should be here by the end of the week, can't wait
