cleaning under the hatch?

last weekend i washed my vibe for the first time. today, when i was loading my laundry back in at the laundromat, i popped up the hatch (the glass part) and noticed that beneath the glass, it was filthy. it was still covered in the pollen that i'd scrubbed off the outside of the vehicle, and there were water/soap marks around the edges. the weather stripping is around the actual opening in the hatch (the whole door), not around the edges of the glass. is that normal?

yep! that's natural, gotta clean under that as well as the under part of the hatch itself.

In 2 years I have only opened the glass once, just to see what it was like. It was really filthy under there. I just never think of it when I'm washing the car.

Yep!, that's totally normal. I always clean under hatch section everytime I wash our Vibe. Also we do clean around door section well. We like keep our clean possible all time....

I clean under the hatch and doors every wash. I clean under the hood about once a month or so. My GT is Frosty (white) and it shows the dirt. But, it makes it easy to see what still needs to be cleaned after I wash it.
