i usually like to wait until it's totally toast. but the new sube has windshield wiper warmers so that means $$$ if i have to replace the silly thing. my dad got a windshield repair kit from walmart that he uses and it does a very good job. some of them you can barely see the pit! so we have to pick us up some!

I have countless of those tiny cracks (easy to see when the sun hit the winshield) and one good crack. like TRDVIBE, I'll wait as long as I can before changing it.

See, I though tsand would be better than the d*mn salt they use here, but I gues not!!!! That salt though sure does make your car look like a pile of sh*t, and also if you've got rust you are done for!

They use tons of salt too. At the very sight of a snowflake they start spreading the evil white crystals. But we don't have to worry about that for 8 months or so. WOO HOO!

I've already replaced the glass once, and now it's cracked again, but the crack is at wiper level, and I REFUSE to replace it until I have no choice -- October 2006, when state inspection comes around.

When I had my Grand Prix, I had several cracks in it. I hate rocks so bad! And having to drive behind dumptrucks with dirt, or flatbeds holding large construction equipment... They're notorious for dropping rocks. When they're in front of me at least. No cracks on my Vibe though. Knock on wood.

I love mine....And BTW, I doubt lowering the car will make less rocks jitting the windsheild, but a Vibe lowered looks so much better
