and came home with a beretta 92fs Brigadier Inox 9mm handgun. It's pretty sexy. Shot it at the store, since they have an indoor gun range. It sure is a lot of fun. Here is a good link with a picture.http://www.gunshopfinder.com/b...x.asp

Wow, this just boggles my mind. Gun shopping? I don't think I'd know even where to buy such a gun! Must be a Canadian thing.

folks are giving me their .38. you can use both .22 and .38 caliber but i don't know how to shoot it. now it gives me a reason to get my conceal carry license. i've been wanting to do that for a long time just never got around to it. lol. would be good to have for hiking up here!

I've been looking into getting a hand gun for about 3-4 months now, and since I took the day off work, and my room mate did too (randomly) we both went to the gun shop down the road to do some shopping.

Congrats Brian. I have a Beretta 92 that I bought 15 years ago. It came with Brazilian wood grips that I removed and replaced with some Pachmayr grips.

I have 3 shotguns, 2 rifles and a crossbow but with the regulations we have you can't even buy a handgun unless you are a member of a gun club. Then you have to register the times and the route you will be taking to the club to use your gun. Your gun must be in a locked case in the trunk of your car and I think the ammo must stay at the club. It would be fun to have a handgun for target practice and plinking varmints.

Wow, it's nice to see some firearm enthusiasts around here! Here's my current baby:A Rossi .357 mag. It's primarily for home defense. I keep it locked and loaded with 3 pre-fragmented hollow points and 3 jacketed hollow points. It also has vents at the end of the barrel so it thows out a 6" ball of fire when I shoot it. I kinda wanna get a Sig Sauer to replace it though because the .357 mag is probably a little overkill for home defense (no pun intended).I also have a little Marlin .22 that I use to plink, plus a Remington 12gauge. I have a Gamo .177 air rifle and a Gamo P-23(0) air pistol that I use around the yard when I don't have time to leave and shoot my real guns.

the .357 is the perfect home defense weapon...and probably the perfect handgun round...sigs are great guns, but nothing beats the magnum for home defense...keep it...that's what my wife has on the nightstand when i work midnights...

Don't have much time to play with them, but here's a couple pics (poor) of my Colt Gold Cup, and an old Ruger MK II. The 45 was a 25th wedding anniversary present from my mother to my father.Have a few rifles also. Ruger 44 Carbine, Ruger 10/22, old Marlin 22 lever action.

I don't own a gun, but I would like too. But to me they are just like new rims for the Vibe. Cool to have but the cost isn't justifiable in my mind. I enjoy shooting, but don't want a $500 dollar gun to shoot twice a month at a range. Oh well maybe when I am older and if I am really good.

i have a kahr 9mm and a hk usp compact 40 sw. I love guns. the way i figure it buy a used gun in good condition and you can turn it back into cash reather quickly at the local shop if you ever really needed to and not lose much money. and if you have a time you usually break even

I do have guns, but considering my area, I don't think I need a carry permit. I would like to get a semi-auto, much like yours but black. My only pistol is a Taurus 357 revolver, black with wooden handle.

Plenty of knockdown without the worry of wondering where the bullet ends up. Especially with 230 gr. Federal Hydrashocks

they really don't overpenetrate that much, especially if you use a good hollow point...while it's true they won't mushroom as easily going into things like drywall and wall studs as they would soft tissue...they are safe to use for home defense...and they work especially well if you hit the target...Quote, originally posted by MJN2 »The only issue I have with .357's is that they tend to go through things..the intruder you shoot, the wall behind them, etc. That's why I picked up an m1911A1 .45acp clone several months back. I don't have one but the wife wants to get one...I could just sleep on the couch you know! It really doesn't have to come to this!!!!!!Let this be a note should I ever die "accidently" by gunshot from the wife... The charging bear was behind her and with my own tail between my legs was in front hehe.

I want to get one, but I don't really have a clue what to get and it's yet another thing to save up money for. I'd like a semi-auto .45, but I've been told that it's going to be a bit difficult for concealed carry. My mom and stepdad have a S&W .357 Magnum revolver with combat grips for home defense. If you're worried about the shot going through the intruder, the walls, Sparky the dog, the neighbor's Jeep, and into their kitchen, then it can fire a .38 bullet nicely. Could also buy .357 non-magnum rounds for it too. I like the gun, and it's easy shooting with the .38's loaded. But I'd like a smaller semi-auto that is easier for concealed carry. I won't buy a gun until I've taken the safety classes and have the CC permit.

A few years ago I read an article in a Quebec hunting magazine about an 8 guage shotgun. The front page caption read-"Hurts as much at both ends". Apparently they come with a full choke and are used for high flying geese.

I don't like hand gun that they're too small for me. I rather to have 12gauge automatic three shells pump Remington shotgun with scope. It was my first christmas gift from my grandfather. I have use 12 gauge shotgun since 1999 and have not miss single deer every hunting season.

I took my girlfriend out yesterday to learn how to shoot my 12ga. I was proud of her! She didn't have any problem shooting 3" mags or slugs. Tonight, she'll learn how to clean it!I'm still not sure if it's a good thing knowing that your girlfriend can load and shoot guns though .
