http://www.wach.com/Global/story.asp?S=3235532FORT WAYNE, Ind. There's a problem with the open-container law in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Officials have discovered that the ordinance bans all open containers in vehicles -- not just containers of alcohol. That means an open can of soda, or even an open bag of chips in the car, is technically against the law, and could be subject to a 50-dollar fine.City attorneys have brought the matter to the attention of the city council, which voted yesterday to fix the law. The new version could get final approval next week.

We were never sure if it was true or not, or if it started as someone wondering if it did, then developed into a rumor that it did. Is this a new revision of the law, I wonder...or just someone finally realizing the breadth of the existing law?

LOL! It's funny, I wasn't born here, but I fit in so well with Hoosiers that I decided to move here... Although I'm a transplant, I'd like to think of myself as a true Hoosier. Indiana is a strange planet... And they should change that open container law soon, otherwise if I'm ever up that way, they might as well give me the chair considering the volume of non-alcoholic beverages I consume in the car.
