Howdy folks, I have a question/problem to pose to anybody else with the 6-speed in our beloved GT (or base 5-speed for that matter):Lately, I've noticed a metallic sounding click when I put in the clutch. And it's as soon as my foot touches the pedal. There is no other noise as the pedal goes through it's travel, up or down. Just the "click" as soon as its touched. And, of course, it's ittermitent (sp?) so I can't reproduce it reliably enough to take it to the dealer, but since the next oil change service is coming up, I'd figured I'll give it a shot with them. However, I just wanted to see if anyone has come across this already. I poked my head under the dash and looked about, it might be the pin attaching the pedal to the clutch, but I'm no mechanic. It's bugging the hell outta me, any answers/observations welcome!

Mine does the same thing almost since I bought mine in December. Mine does is consistantly though. As soon as it is pushed I hear it, but no other noise as the pedal travels. I will be having mine looked at when I take it in for the first oil change. Along with a couple of other rattles and things.

It's probably the switch to deactivate cruise control when the clutch is pressed in.

Mine does the same thing. There should be two noises on your clutch. The first one you hear diengages the cruise and the second is the ignition start override. These are both normal as far as i know.

I have not heard a clicking sound at all!

Lately I have felt some intermittent vibration in the pedal as soon as I touch the clutch pedal. It is only once in a while. Hopefully this is nothing serious or something that will cause something to fail

I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I get a slight vibration sometimes when letting the pedal out. It usually happens right where the clutch engages and continues to halfway out. Not sure if this is really similar to yours or not.

The clicking from what I understand is the sensor to disengage the cruise control. I took my Vibe into the dealership and had them look at it and they took care of the problem. They said they realigned and lubricated it and now no noise. What a relief!
