Well, there was a thread about it, but a quick search comes up with nothing, and I know I posted in the thread, so it must be gone now. Probably scrolled off the Political Asylum's inactive topic list.Basically, it is a hoax. The guy is just trying to either get a rise out of people or make a quick buck, but either way, he's not eating the rabbit...

There was a PETA statement in the old thread, too...that's why I wish I could find it. Basically, they can't condone that people donate money to his cause because then others will threaten animals in an attempt to make money.Someone really ought to report him to his web host and/or ISP...surely what he's doing by deliberately misleading people to get money out of them could be considered fraud...Edit: Reporting him to PayPal, since he chose to post a screen shot which includes his account information, might be productive as well. They have the power to refund the donations.

About all I had said in that one thread was that people are finding all kinds of ways to make money on the internet, like the guy at savetoby. Viben'round took exception to that site as offensive, I mistakenly thought he was saying that my post that referred to savetoby was offensive so I removed it. There was a subsequent thread in the asylum that is no longer around. Political asylum threads are of finite lifespan.

greetings all, yeah that was me seeing it as an offensive website. what tweaked me is that it was in the humor thread, I've heard from Peta ( I think I posted their response in the other thread) basically it is a hoax, and reading other info on it the meeter that he has there with the money he collected was just him editing his #'s on his own. no worries, I was just saying why I edited that post that was referred to, I misunderstood at the time, but figured it out soon after.

I heard about this and this person is an (removed)! Starving for attention. What will this person do if they do not get all the money? I did not read it on the site but would they give all the money so far back? Plus that rabbit is to small for a great meal, they are just stirring up crap. I think it is all a hoax.

I saw this before. I read about it in the Washington Post newspaper about a month ago. I think the paper said that Paypal had shut down his account. The recipes look pretty good lol. j/k
