Does anyone know what the bulb part numbers are for the headlights and foglamps on a Vibe? I want to get the clear white bulbs and I cannot find what the part number is. I don't want to pull the bulbs just to find out, it would be too much of a pain.

Using Search, I found the following info:quote:One single bulb in the head lamp assembly the 9003 used for both the high & low beam. One bulb in the fog lamp assembly the 9006. Total of only 4 bulbs is needed to do the whole system.Bulb # 9003 for HeadlampBulb # 9006 for Foglampsfrom:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=573It's also in the Owners Manual (6-76), but it only lists the headlamp bulb #.

The crystal white bulbs look really nice on my Vibe, they also increase visibility.

The 9003 bulb is also known as an H3 style bulb, often used in atvs, motorcycles, German cars. Piaa makes a great set that I put in my own Vibe p/n #15560. They put out 110/130 watts to the road but only draw 55/60 watts worth of power, a very nice light!!

Actually, I believe the 9003 are H4. Here is a link to a good deal on the Piaa Super Plasma GTs.

Rasermon helped me picking out some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs that I put in mine. I definately like them!! They were on sale a short time ago at Advance Auto parts, in addition to a $10 rebate from Sylvania which I believe is still in effect.

I can't remember the manufacturer name on the bulbs I bought. They do make one heck of a difference and all 4 were only around 45-50 bucks (us)

Are these the ones that give a blueish tint??? Or are those the one that you have to get ballasts for??

The lights are not blue, they only look a little blue when compared to normal head lights. They actually give off a very white light that almost looks flourescent. (forgive me if that is spelled incorrectly) They are a big helper in the snow.

Are these like the Blue Xeon bulbs they sell on ebay....How long do the last??? Is it a worthy investment?

No, the blue bulbs are just that, blue. Go to your local auto parts store and ask for clear white bulbs. They should know what you are talking about. The actual blue bulbs are illegal (and kind of annoying to other drivers).

But to answer your question (kinda) the bulbs are a worthy investment and they should last as long as normal bulbs. Don't go through ebay, just go to your auto parts store.
