I'm very happy the way it turned out. It's a noticable drop and the ride is 2X as bad but I love it! Heres a couple of pics. Sorry they're not so good but I only have my Logitech 420 to take pictures at the moment. Tell me what ya think!?

"Drop it like it's hot" That looks great! Can't wait to get mine dropped. I gotta wait until the Eibach Prokit for the AWD comes out in April.

Thanks! I didn't measure and I thought about that when it was up on the rack.. So a little to late to get the before and after measurements. The kit says 2.1 front and 1.8 rear. I'm guessing about 2 inches cause I can definitely tell a big difference!

180$ How about you? Don't tell me less....lol I understand you are a good customer of theirs and you bring him alot of work...Are you going to have the front aligned? I'm curious cause I was thinking it might be a good idea. Also if you are, tell me where. I might go to the same place if they do a decent job.Today I'm having the windows tinted, so more pics to come. I have other goodies on the way so I'll be posting pictures of those as soon as I get them on...

I've got a probably dumb question, but: Besides looking cool, does dropping the car help performance any/much/at all? I understand the center or gravity will come down a little, but is the effect that noticable?

I take an on ramp with a sharp corner to get on I-65 as a short cut to another road to get home. I've took this on-ramp many times at 60+ mph and the car leaned so much that I decided to lift off the gas until the road straightened out some.. With the lowering springs, I took that same on-ramp right after having the springs installed.. I was amazed at how tight I took the corner and how level the car stayed. I took a quick glance at the speedo and it read almost 80 when I came out of the corner! I stayed on it until I reached 90 and had to slow for a semi truck in front of me. I also notice that my steering is much more responsive and tighter. My next install will be the RSB.

"is the effect that noticable"yesthe higher up the weight, the easier it is to fall off balanceits the same principle as a steering wheela bigger steering wheel is easier to turn, you have more torque on the steering shaftwhere as a smaller diamater steering wheel is harder to turn, cause you dont have the same distance at which to apply forcesame thing with lowering a caryou go aruond a turn, a taller car is easier to topple because its weight is up and and thus has more distance to apply its force to the vehicle, where as a smaller lower car, doesnt have the distance, thats why its harder to flip a small car than a big vehicle(notice: indy cars, nascars, any race cars...very low to ground)

No I didn't do it myself. This is one job that I decided to leave to the professionals. I was lucky enough to get the springs on Ebay for 75$ shipped last fall. I wanted to wait until after winter to have them put on. The cost for install was 180$ at a local shop called Big Wheels. So far I love it! I've even got a couple of comments on it from total strangers about how good it looks and alot of looks while driving it. One thing I did notice is I'll have to be very careful around curbs and concrete wheel stops in parking spaces. The car sits lower than they do and I don't want to (removed) up my front end..

Haha ok don't worry, I got charged for the same amount I'm also thinking about doing alignment in a few weeks but I'm not sure whether to do it at Big Wheels or to go to Mike Raisor to do the alignment. The reason I'm considering Mike Raisor as well is because I want to go in for an oil change (first maintenance!) so while I'm there, I might as well have it done. Also, where are you getting your car tinted?

Nutty... come to the chat room on the home page you will see a link to chat room near the bottom...Dealer wont do it since its been lowered... Already called them... Also Big Wheels told me to go down the street from them to have it done. I don't remember what the place is called though. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow to find out again. I think you should wait till your springs settle a little before you have it done though.

Looks very sweet looking there. Dealership I bought my Vibe at set the alignment for me. They could care less I lowered it, they got money from me to align it and thats all that seemed to matter to them.

Thanks Mavrik!Mav, here most places including the dealer don't want to touch a car that's been lowered cause they can't set the alignment to factory specs. That's what I was told anyways. Other places are the same way. But there are 2 places here that said they would do it. About 40 bucks to have it done. I suppose I should have it done soon.

[QUOTE=tectonyesthe higher up the weight, the easier it is to fall off balance(notice: indy cars, nascars, any race cars...very low to ground)[/QUOTE]Well, That all makes sense, I'm just surprised that such a small change (about 2" most people seem to talk about) vs. the height of the CG of the car make such a noticable difference in feel and handling. Thanks for the info...now I've got one more mod to consider.

The wheels are only made in Italy by ATP, they are true 3 pc. wheels so I'm told. I really like the 20% it's just right for the day and night.
