Everyone seen the new honda truck? I for one can't stand the look of the poor thing. It's more like an Element with a truck bed. Yuck. Toyota and Nissan is going to eat Honda's truck line alive.Ridgeline Element

Nice truck but I can't quite see it with a filthy cement mixer and 10 bags of portland in the back.

This truck obviously wasn't meant for everyone. I believe Honda's research revealed that a lot of Oddessy/Accord/Acura drivers had a pickup in their driveway (obviously from a competing brand), and Ridgeline was introduced to keep these buyers within the Honda family.I can't say I personally like the look of the truck myself, but if you look beyond the sheetmetal its quite an extraordinary truck; having combined both the merits of a body-on-frame and unibody vehicle. It has also received a lot of good press:

I know that honda had some inventive ideas with this truck, but I still think its ugly as sin. Not to mention it only comes with a v6. Yes the v6 is 255hp and would be fine for someone like me, but a truck needs a v8 for towing/hauling/trailering.

They said in the car and driver article, that Honda thinks that 80% of truck owners don't haul more than 5,000 pounds so the V6 is probably adequate for your small boats, trailers, and two jet skis. If guys are going to be hauling construction or farm equipment they are going to buy a HD truck, not a SUT. The looks aren't really my cup of tea either, it looks like an Avalanche with no hideous cladding. It definitely won't sell real well, but like somebody said previously, Honda owners who want a truck will probably jump on it.

The Ridgeline is a Chevrolet Avalanche rip off to a "T"...

I had heard the spare tires is under the plastic bed. If you have a full load and get a flat, good luck getting it out.

I like the look of the truck, with one exception. The body on either side of the bed should be level, the gently sloping sides of the rear are pretty friggin ugly.
